Union Pacific Railroad Oil Spill Contingency Plan Update
Ecology invites interested public, local and tribal governments to review and comment on updates to Union Pacific Railroad’s Oil Spill Contingency Plan . Washington Administrative Code (WAC) 173-182 and 173-186 requires oil handling facilities, pipelines, vessels and railroads to have a state-approved oil spill contingency plan that ensures their ability to respond to major oil spills. Regulated companies are required to submit changes to Ecology and updates may require a 30-day public review of the updates (WAC 173-186-430).
Specific changes are as follows:
Revision to Appendix C: List of Oils to add Uinta Basin to their product list.
